Katharine is the founder of Purr and Pup Training. She has had many years of experience within the animal industry. From starting out at dog daycare centre, to working at a cattery and animal adoption shelters and now currently working as a qualified veterinary nurse. Katharine has run puppy classes for other organisations, which has helped her to understand what people need in a puppy class and has refined her own course.

As she was working she noticed a lot of behavioural issues with cats and dogs that could have been prevented with the right guidance. This prompted her to start Purr and Pup Training as she wanted to help owners have a better understanding of their pets' wants and needs, their behaviour, and how they communicate. This in turn helps to empower owners to understand their pet and spot potential problem behaviours before they become an issue.

Katharine believes in continuing education, both formal and informal, as no matter how much you know there is always more to learn.
