KITTEN KINDY

Did you know that it's just as important for kittens to have help during their critical stage of development as it is for puppies? Kitten Kindy classes are great not only for new kitten owners but for experienced owners who want to update their knowledge and provide their kitten with the best start in life. We aim to help you develop that human-animal bond by building a trusting relationship with your cat as you help them become happy, well-adjusted and resilient members of your family.

In our kitten kindy we cover many topics, including:

  • Understanding Feline Behaviour and Communication

  • General Health and Wellbeing

  • Desensitisation, Habituation and Socialisation

  • Handling and Co-operative Care

  • The Importance of Play and Enrichment

  • Preventing Unwanted Behaviours

Where: Pendle Hill Veterinary Hospital

When: Thursdays 7:15-8:15pm (some classes can run over, with a finish time closer to 8:45pm)

Duration: Over 3 weeks

Cost: $120

Age of Kittens: Kittens will need to be between 8-14 weeks of age and to have had their first vaccination before their first week of class.

Dog Walk

PUPPY PRESCHOOL

Attending a well-run Puppy Preschool is one of the best things you can do to give your puppy a great start in life.

Puppies go through a critical stage of development between the ages of 3-12 weeks (sometimes up to 16 weeks of age). During this time they are learning to explore the world, learning how to interact with people/dogs/other animals and so much more. This is also a time where fears and problem behaviours can develop. Remember puppies don't grow out of behaviours, they grow into them.

In our puppy classes we help you and your puppy get through this time. In this course we cover the following topics:

  • Toilet Training

  • Nipping and Biting

  • Desensitisation and Habituation

  • The Importance of Play

  • Learning about and Understanding Dog Body Language

  • General Obedience Training

  • Preventing Unwanted Behaviours

  • Socialisation

Where: Pendle Hill Veterinary Hospital

When: Tuesdays or Thursdays

Start Time: 7:15-8:15pm (some classes can run over, with a finish time closer to 8:45pm)

Duration: Over 5 weeks

Cost: $220

Age of puppies: Puppies will need to be between 8-14 weeks of age and to have had their first vaccination before their first week of class.
